Our Blog

This blog spot is primarily a photo/memory album for our family. It also serves as a way for us to share what is going on in our lives with our friends and family that don't see us on a regular basis. Ashley, Worth, Ellie, Emma, and Mack

April 2025

April came and went at lightening speed. I'm glad to be going back to look at all the pictures because at the current moment my April memories are already hazy. These are some great pictures that were proof that we did have a great month in April!

We went to SSI for spring break. Mack is seen here slurping up a Frosty's shake

The girls and I went to Jacksonville to get in some spring and summer shopping. We shopped until Emma dropped.

We did a Kayaking tour as a family and it was SO fun! I loved being in that kayak for the first time. It's so peaceful and beautiful out on the water that time of year.
Mack and Emma had several races on the beach throughout the week.

This is something we don't normally see out there on the water. It was cool watching it pass by.

Mack and Emma raced each other pretty much the entire week if we were out on the beach.

Enjoying dinner with these sweet 3.

At our new gym, Emma is old enough to take classes with me, so I have a new gym buddy!

Mack's soccer team is cute, but it was a rough season. They didn't win a game, but Mack definitely learned a lot and worked his butt off! He's the only kid that made a goal on the team for the ENTIRE season!

Face of determination

Emma's final chorus spring show was in April

These 8th graders put on a fantastic show and even sweet Emma had a quick little duet.

Emma's look in this picture is classic!

The Easter Bunny came!

They still all act like toddlers running to their Easter baskets.

They clean up well for Easter Sunday!

After the early service at our church in Valdosta, we headed to Tifton to have Easter lunch with Mama, Daddy, Pendy, and Emmett.

This is a crew right here.

Caught this sweet moment between Mama and Daddy before we ate lunch.

Grandma's Easter Egg hunt is always epic. Emma caught the lead running outside this year!

Ellie was next out!

Mack held up the rear but honestly, he was probably forced by the adults  to let the ladies go first

Prizes this year included more than candy so a lot was on the line!

Mack mainly grumbled about Emma stealing all of the eggs.

Counting the eggs - all of the eggs had a number inside that linked to a prize held by grandma.

Ellie and Mack counting up their eggs

Emma won the most cash eggs!

No one lost though, the candy was whole candy packs - not just little pieces, plus some gift cards!

Mack had his "Rising 6th grader parent night" at the middle school. I can't believe he's old enough to be in middle school!

They give them a chance to try out a lock on a locker

Mack got it open on the first try. I guess he's ready for middle school!

Last day of K-Kids and on the K-Kids bus! These two have been riding together since Kindergarten!

Ellie made this project for her AP Lang class. I thought it turned out pretty creative and beautiful!

Mack and his gifted class.

March 2025

I have been severely delayed in updating the blog. It is so much easier to go month by month to update though, so instead of making 1 post for the last 4 months I've missed posting, I am still going to post per month. I love going back and remembering each month and what all we did. I forget the details in all the chaos sometimes. It's nice to go back and make these posts to recall the happy times we that we had for that particular month.

March brought good memories of our last elementary school field day, festivals, soccer losses, golf wins, sweet family time, and some really nice photos (that I didn't take!)

Mack went straight from basketball to the soccer field - a new sport he just wanted to try out this spring.

Although he played his heart out, they lost this game.

Emma's 8th grade dance with this year. This was a great group of kiddos.

We had professional pictures taken. This is Emma and her date, Andrew.

Emma looked beautiful!

I made her get one picture with me which she did reluctantly

Miss Priss waiting on people to show up for pictures

Emma and some of her friends

Emma's date bought her flowers. They were so pretty.

I was on the Dance committee and helped with all the planning, set up, and decorating. It was a TON of work that took us a couple of months to put together, but I think everything turning out so nice!

The theme was Mardi Gras since the dance fell on Mardi Gras weekend.

This was the blown up version of the invitation all of the kids recieved.

The decor was really off of the charts.

This group of 8th graders danced till they dropped.

Mack got to sing with the K-Kids choir at church one Sunday and this is about the best picture I got from where I was sitting.

Mack won a goldfish at his school spring festival and named him Brock Bowers.

So much golf in March - this is Worth and I before the first Member Guest party of the season.

Emma played a ton of golf in March and did so well!

These girls had an amazing season winning just about every tournament.

Ellie's sweet 16 pictures that we had taken in October FINALLY came back. Thank goodness they turned out beautiful!

Lest we forget the real royalty around our house.

Another gorgeous sweet 16 pic

Emma's team ended up with a Region win!

Emma was the low medalist!

Mack continued to work hard at soccer even though the team was not great

Next up was the 5th grade Wax Museum

Mack chose Usain Bolt

He nailed it. He even looks just like him:)

He worked so hard on this project and was so proud of it!

These pictures loaded out of order - but the jist is that this was the Bowers last field day at Westside Elementary. Mack had a ball at his 5th grade and final field day! I think it made up for the missed Kindergarten field day during Covid.

The pressure is real

Slow but fast teamwork is so challenging

Mack's favorite - GAGA ball

Mack and Blake getting sunburned

Dizzy bat

Mack and Jackson and some other buddies from class

They cheat on Limbo, they are allowed to go under chest down

How fast can you run off of a bouncy house?

Tug of War is my personal favorite to watch. Mack's face in this picture is priceless.

March was the month of professional pictures! Ellie looked beautiful for her Spring recital pics!
