Growing Girls
The girls are growing so fast. Ellie started her 3 year old preschool class this week and loves her new teachers Ms. Jennifer and Ms. Shawn. She is growing so fast and talking even faster. She seems to have an answer for everything and if she doesn't, she'll be sure to ask "why?" until she understands.
Emma is growing like a weed. She had her 15 month check up this week and here are the stats: She weighed 20lbs. 15 oz (which puts her in the 20th percentile for weight), her height is 30 and 3/4 inches (55th percentile) and head circumference was 18 inches (40th percentile). Emma does not understand that she is only 15 months - she thinks that she is 3, just like her sister. She runs, climbs, jumps and dances like Ellie. She is also beginning to don princess attire as instructed by Ellie.
On another note I would like to give a shout out to a couple of my friends who read this blog. Congrats to Lauren and Bob Massee on their new little BOY that will arrive February 6, 2013. I would also like to congratulate Mandy and Clint Whitley who will have a new bundle of love arriving March 21, 2013. I'm so excited for these girls and can't wait to meet their babies!

A touch of paint
Worth and I have officially been in our house for a year now, and we still absolutely love it. We didn't, however, love our master bath. We've been putting it on our back burner because it was still functional. We just weren't crazy about the paint color and ugly gold faucets and knobs all over the bathroom. After some online searching and some thinking, we came up with a plan to get rid of the ugly gold faucets and knobs (don't ever go with gold faucets - they rust and turn green! Our house was built in 1994 so I guess that was the thing to do then.) We decided painting the faucets was a cheaper and easier way to fix the problem without performing an entire bathroom gutting and renovation (which still may come down the road!)
What we started with!
Taping everything off.
Removing the knobs
Rustoleum automobile primer
Finished product!

Grandma's Birthday Surprise
This past Friday the 13th was my (Ashley) mom's birthday. My mom is an animal lover and we decided to surprise her with a new kitten for her birthday. (Her cat died about a year ago). Ellie was so excited about it that we had Grandma come over to get her present before we went out to eat. We had a great time celebrating, and I think Grandma was more than pleased with her gift.

SSI 2012
We have just returned from our annual 4th of July St. Simons Island hoorah with many of our family and friends. It was exhausting and exhilarating all at the same time. It is wonderful to be with so many of our family and friends in one week. We had a blast and ate way too much food! The girls had a ball and were 2 perfect little beach babies. The weather was perfect, and with our crowd, their is never a lack of entertainment! The excitement of this trip was finding out the gender of Aunt Kate and Uncle Jay's baby - it's a boy! We couldn't be more excited for them and the girls are pumped about having a baby boy cousin to boss around! For now, however, we are still de-sanding all of our clothes and beach items and slowly recovering from daily overstimulation!
