Deck The Halls
We had a busy day yesterday as we went to get the Christmas tree, put out the decorations, and had our Thanksgiving dinner. It was topped off by a big Georgia win over the nerds from the trade school that makes a disappointing season a little easier to swallow.

Cake
One of my favorite all time desserts is my Grandmother Sa's German chocolate cake and so I got a wild hair yesterday and decided to give it a try myself. This is my 1st attempt at a cake of any kind other than a package angel food cake and it actually turned out pretty good. Not quite as moist or pretty as Sa's, but for my first attempt I was pretty happy.

Busted Lip
Ellie had a rough end of week and weekend last weekend. It started with a sinus infection on Wed. with a fever of 103, and lasted thru the weekend where she fell on a sidewalk and scraped her face and busted her lip. Tonight is the first night that she hasn't been fussy in a week. It's nice to have our sweet Ellie back and the lip and face have already healed. Looking forward to getting the Christmas decorations up this weekend.

Birthday Tailgate
It was a great fall day in Athens on Saturday which was made even better by celebrating Dad's birthday with a big win. The tailgate was fun and after a disappointing season it sure will be nice going back to work Monday sporting my Georgia scrub hat. Also able to stop by and see Mimi on the way home.

Fall Saturday and Pumpkin Carving
For the first time all fall all three of us were here and we had no plans. Since UGA wasn't playing we had a fun family day. We went to the new Target and Ellie got a new big girl car seat. Then Ellie and Ashley took long naps while I watched football on the couch. We then went to the store and got a pumpkin to carve. Ellie was busy this afternoon with playing outside, coloring, taking care of her baby, messing with Freddie, and helping Ashley with dinner and the laundry.
