Weekend With Daddy and Moving On Up
Well Ellie had a big weekend. She had a terrible week during the week were she decided that 2:30 am until 4:30 am was party time. She didn't fuss, she just wanted to talk and play and if you put her down then she would fuss. Needless to say her mother and I were worn out after 4 nights of little sleep. Ashley had plans to go to ATL for a baby shower and that put Ellie and I alone overnight for the first time. I'll admit I was a bit nervous how things would go, but after 4 bad nights I figured it couldn't get any worse so I decided it was time to get Ellie out of the pack n play and into the bedroom with the newest and nicest furniture in the whole house. She fought for a while but, eventually gave in and slept until about 3:30. I fed her and let her stay downstairs for the rest of the night fully expecting it to be party time again, but she talked herself to sleep. We had a good day together and I even managed to get the house in some sort of order for Mommy to come home Saturday night. When Mommy got home, she was so glad to see her little peanut and Ellie was so glad to see her Mommy. With the success of Friday night, we decided that after the 3:30 feeding to put Ellie back upstairs. Even though she was wide awake, she talked to her feet for about 10 minutes and finally went to sleep. The last picture is her waking up around 8:00 am after an entire night in her room. It was such a success that today Ellie is MOVING ON UP (upstairs, that is) and we will finally have our bedroom back so to speak.

Happy Birthday Breakfast
Since Ashley's birthday is today and her family is leaving this morning, we had a birthday breakfast complete with chocolate cake. Ellie helped with the gift and card opening. I don't know how she knew, but when Ashley opened a card with some cash in it, Ellie went straight for it. My wallet is already trembling at the beating it is going to take in the years to come. During the birthday song Ellie had her eyed tuned into the light show.

Exersaucer
Ellie got an Exersaucer this weekend from the Tifts and she loves it so far. She especially likes the little mirror on it. She also has a chance to play with Uncle Amos and gets to eat some rice cereal with her Grandmama.
