Our Blog

This blog spot is primarily a photo/memory album for our family. It also serves as a way for us to share what is going on in our lives with our friends and family that don't see us on a regular basis. Ashley, Worth, Ellie, Emma, and Mack

April Showers

April is flying by and in addition to all of our activities, the hot water heater in our attic failed and we had a lovely shower over our master bathroom and hallway that took out some ceiling, flooring, and drywall. There is never a dull moment! The good news is, we have plenty of stuff to do to keep us (mostly) out of the house during the clean up and repair of our newest mess.

We made it one day on the beach for spring break before we got the call from our cleaning lady that water was gushing from our ceiling. Ellie and the Berryman boys worked on their splits on the beach and there was a lot of baseball playing that went down.

One of the only other pictures I got from our "spring break."

The kids opened all of their chocolate frogs from the Harry Potter store and were super excited about it.

Ellie has been doing a ton of baking lately. She let Mack assist her this day and I had to snap a picture of a moment in which they were NOT fighting.

We are back on the baseball field finally. After the first 2 games being rained out, we have finally had a few games that have been big wins for these boys.

I looked up at one game and realized Mack was playing pitcher. He usually plays left field. He did great at pitcher, I was so proud of him!

We moved from a morning baseball game to an afternoon golf tournament for Mack and Emma.

Emma has really taken golf by the horns and is determined to improve her game.

She was paired with a boy and played against boys and won using a majority of her shots in this scramble. She was so happy, and so was I for her!

Mack has to work on his putting game, but overall, he played very well.

The Easter Bunny came!

These 3 clean up well, especially when it's Easter. Ellie did Emma's and her own hair.

We headed to Tifton to have Easter with my parents and go to church with them. I always love a picture in front of Little St. Anne's.

This picture turned out so good! My mom and dad have been through so much lately. Daddy gave us a big scare a few weeks ago, so I'm so thankful we were able to spend Easter morning at church with him.

Obligatory family photo.

There is always a big egg hunt at St. Anne's after church. Emma decided to hunt on Ellie's side (6th grade and up.) She saw how many kids were hunting in the 2nd-5th grade side and looked at me and said, "I'm going to be a 6th grader today"

Grandma always goes all out with her Easter table.

The egg hunt at Grandma's is a mad dash to find the money eggs.

Mama didn't count how many eggs she hid, so we had to walk around and make sure none were left in the yard.

Very serious (and fast) egg hunters here.

Elle's spring Chorus Concert was this past week and was so fun! The theme was "Through the Decades" and there was a ton of fun music!

The dance moves were pretty good as well!

I'll just have it be known that the Coca Cola jacket Ellie is wearing was mine in the late 80s/ early 90s, when they were actually popular. It has come in handy several times for the girls having to dress up for a particular decade.

In other exciting news, Ellie got invisalign braces this week. She was pretty stoked about it until about 2 hours into wear when she was begging for Advil.

March 2022

March was another busy month! In addition to our girls New York trip, we had basketball finals, golf season start up, and field day fun! Baseball has also begun, but Mack's first 2 games have been rained out, so we are hoping his team will get to play after spring break.

Mack's official basketball pictures were hilarious to me. He cannot make a serious face no matter how hard he tries.

My sweet Emma. Her team didn't have a great season this year, but it wasn't because this girl right here didn't bust it EVERY game. She was definitely the best hustler on the team.

I never got a ton of great pictures of Emma playing this year. Most of them of are her in motion, so they didn't turn out great. I was too busy screaming most games to stop and make sure the pictures I took were good ones.

There were only about 3 girls on Emma's team that could actually score. Emma was one of them.
Mack got pretty good on his foul shots as well.

Mack's gold bracket playoff game was against Valwood. One of the Valwood moms that is a good friend of mine snapped these pictures of Mack. Obviously, her camera is better than mine, but they were pretty awesome and I'm so glad she got them!

It was a tough loss for Mack. He was smiling through tears in this picture and not happy with his 2nd place trophy.

Tough loss for these boys. It was a great game and they only lost by 3 points, but they were  still so upset.

Mack, Mason, and Latham

Switching gears, Ellie had a parent observation night at dance. It was the first time since before Covid that we have been able to go in and watch. I got to see her do all of her warm ups and they even put on their recital costumes and showed us their dances.

The warm ups looked so tough. The girls were exhausted from those.

I now know what she is supposed to be practicing at home.

Also this month, golf season is back again! Emma and Mack had their first PGA jr. tournament for the season. Ellie opted out this year.

Emma jumped from the golf course to the putting course at her field day this week.

The archery station was so representative of South Ga.  They were aiming at ducks and turkey.

I think the kids loved this the most.

Emma pulling as hard as she could on tug of war.

I caught up with Mack at his field day as well. (Emma's was on Wednesday and Mack's was on Friday)

Mack is in the red hat.

Mack also did some serious cheating but impressive squatting in the limbo line.

Mack enjoyed the putting station as well.

Mack's face in this picture says it all! I was only able to attend for a couple of hours at each field day. Mack and Emma had the same events each time I was there so I missed some of the other fun events, but I was thankful to be able to make it for 2 hours.
