Our Blog

This blog spot is primarily a photo/memory album for our family. It also serves as a way for us to share what is going on in our lives with our friends and family that don't see us on a regular basis. Ashley, Worth, Ellie, Emma, and Mack

Cousins, Bunny Hop and Member Guest

Last weekend we got to spend some time with my cousin Matthew and his family. They recently moved to Thomasville from Monroe, GA. Since Thomasville is only about a 50 minute drive from Valdosta, Worth had Matthew come to play golf for the day. Jesica and the boys came to our house and hung out for the afternoon while the golf was going on. The kids had a blast, and when the guys were back from playing golf, we all had dinner. It is always good spending time with family, and I especially love how much Matthew's boys and my kids love being together.

This past week and weekend was full of excitement with the annual Valdosta Country Club Member-Guest golf tournament, and the annual preschool fundraiser, the Bunny Hop. Worth and his dad couldn't pull out the win for the golf tournament this weekend, but I think they enjoyed their time together a ton. The bunny hop was fun, and hopefully we raised a decent amount of money again this year!

Sweet Will questioning sliding down the pollen covered slide.

Walker may need a little more practice driving the tractor, but he loved it!

Emma was content to bounce on her pogo stick all afternoon.

The playground pollen was quickly cleaned off by the bottoms of this crew.

The laundry room reno is coming along! Hopefully, we can get it done by the end of next week!

Posing up at the Bunny Hop

Emma wanted a picture by herself in the bunny face.

We met up with Abigail, a classmate and friend of Mack's at the breakfast.

Ellie's favorite game at the Bunny Hop - corn hole

They caught some good candy at the fishing game.

Ellie and Emma in a bunny hop race. Mack wouldn't compete.

This picture was hilarious to me.

These two...

and this one.

I looked up to see Mack coming down the slide like this.

I had to stand with Mack during the egg hunt, so I only have pictures of him hunting. The girls were in the older kid areas. I figured they knew not to run in the road, so I stayed with the loose cannon during his hunt.

Following the Bunny Hop, after getting the kids settled with a babysitter, I headed up to the country club to watch them play. There was a 7 way tie for a place in the shoot out. Worth and his dad had to compete in a chip off to score a spot in the final round. Worth's chip was the closest the entire time. After 14 men chipped, the last guy came up and shot his in the hole, beating Worth, and knocking them out of the final round. Worth was heart broken and will probably be mad about this all year long.

Coach had already gone to the locker room, showered and gotten ready to go home  because they didn't believe they were going to have a chance to get into the shoot out. So, he ended up having to chip in his "Junkyard Dawgs" t-shirt and loafers. (Worth was already out of his golf shoes as well!)

People moving everywhere...

We have had a lot of people moving around here. From basketball finals, the beginning of Tball season,  to continuing ed classes, dance, gymnastics, school and church activities, our calendar has been filled up.  I'll let the pictures and videos share the story of the last 3 weeks here.

At some point, Worth said something about "shake it like a polaroid picture." Well, Ellie, of course, having no idea what that meant asked what he was talking about. He pulled up an Outcast video and gave her an education. I ALMOST caught him dancing on the video, but he stopped as soon as I got near.

The girls also decided it would be fun to swim last week, since it was 85 degrees outside. The pool is still  very cold, but it didn't seem to bother them:

We made the cover of the February neighborhood magazine thanks to Worth's  Christmas decorations. They came in December to take pictures of our decorations and asked us to be their feature family for the February issue. I was completely unprepared for a family photo shoot, but we pulled it together.

Mack looking dapper before his school pictures.

Ellie's team made it to the gold bracket finals and lost in the first playoff game. These girls  played so hard and learned so much this year. Go Westside!!

Ellie shooting her free throws. I sadly didn't get many good pictures of the last couple of games.

Ellie tried hard but missed this free throw attempt.

Mack was headed to his first t-ball practice in this picture. So far he has been more excited about the socialization than actually playing ball.

Going after a grounder

Mack throwing the ball and making his coach work for it.

This is what Mack chose to wear for Wacky Wednesday during Dr. Seuss week. He loves to always be in costume  just on a regular day, but tell him he gets to dress up for school and he freaks out. Wacky Wednesday was the only day he would participate, and only on the conditions that he could wear Batman attire with other wacky clothing.

The girls and Worth made the newsletter from our Country Club for the Daddy-Daughter dance.

Ellie and Emma still with lip gloss applied. They must have gotten this picture just as the girls walked in.

This was my view from the back porch of my friend Mandy's house.  I stayed with her  and her family in order to attend a continuing ed course at the Andrews Institute in Pensecola, FL. Mandy and family are currently renting long term on the beach while they build a house in Pensecola.

Mandy works at Andrews, and therefore, had to speak at the conference. She did an  awesome job!

This was not a dress up day for school, just this past Monday.

Emma played her playoff game Monday night. She was playing for the  silver bracket championship.

She's in motion constantly

Ellie took this video:

They won!! 22-8. Go Westside K-1 team!

Emma and her sweet coaches Coach Morgan and Coach Tucker (Stone)

Since we don't have enough chaos going on, we thought we'd throw a laundry room reno in the mix. These are our new cabinets so far.

The color of the cabinets is Sherwin Williams Felted Wool

new cubbies for the kiddos

Emma had her end of season party and all of the girls got trophies.. These were some cute little girls to watch play  basketball!

Mack had his Strawberry Shortcake Social at school today for S- week. He wouldn't pose for a picture with me while we were eating the delicious strawberry shortcake, but as we left I got him to pose for at least a picture of him.
