Our Blog

This blog spot is primarily a photo/memory album for our family. It also serves as a way for us to share what is going on in our lives with our friends and family that don't see us on a regular basis. Ashley, Worth, Ellie, Emma, and Mack

Mack 10 months

Mack was 10 months this past Saturday, the 21st. He had his check up today. No surprises that he is a little fella. He weighed 17lbs, 10oz (4th percentile.) Length was 28 inches (23rd percentile) and head circumference was 17.75in (which I'm pretty sure she said 50th percentile on that?) I guess his head is bigger than anything else! He has his first ear infection. Hopefully, he will not follow in his sister's footsteps and have to have tubes. (Although, I'm all for tubes if it is recommended - BEST thing we ever did for Ellie!)

At 10 months, he has 2 bottom teeth. He is eating pretty much every kind of baby food. He doesn't turn his nose up to anything yet. We have started giving him finger foods, and if he stops throwing them around the room, I think he will really enjoy them. He took his first step on May 30th. But, one or two steps is all he will do. He is a master crawler and seems very content getting everywhere that way. He can wave hello and bye, bye. He says "mama," and on a couple of occasions "Da" correctly. He smiles the biggest smile ever when his sisters enter the room. He LOVES them both! His fluffy blonde hair cracks me up. He laughs and smiles most of the day and so far, this kid has the best personality. He is learning how to pose for a picture. He did so good taking these for me this weekend. He's such a ham!

Father's Day

We took it easy for Father's Day. We lounged by the pool and smoked ribs and a boston butt. It was a good day! I love these 2 dads!

Stone Mountain

We took Ellie and Emma to Stone Mountain this weekend. (We left Mack in Tifton with my mom.) We had a blast! My cousins, Mark and Ginger Whitley live basically at the foot of the mountain. They were very gracious to allow us to stay at their house while they were out of town. We went up Friday and made it to their house by lunch where we met up with Uncle Amos ( my brother) and headed to the mountain.

The park was great and we tried most of the attractions including the 4D movie (which Ellie hated and kept her head covered the whole time,) we rode the train, and we played mini golf. We rode the gondola (sp?) up the mountain, but due to lightening in the area the sky ride was shut down indefinitely. So, we decided to foot it down the mountain. It was a 1.3 mile hike and the girls did awesome! Worth carried Emma only briefly down a really steep section, but other than that both girls bounced down the mountain. Ellie looked like Tigger bouncing down each ledge. She even said "this is the best hike I've ever been on!" (This was the only hike she's ever been on.)

Late that afternoon we headed back to Mark and Ginger's for a quick dinner and some down time before heading back for the laser show. The laser show was fantastic, and the girls were completely delirious by the time the show was over at 10pm. But, fun was definitely had by all!
