Our Blog

This blog spot is primarily a photo/memory album for our family. It also serves as a way for us to share what is going on in our lives with our friends and family that don't see us on a regular basis. Ashley, Worth, Ellie, Emma, and Mack

October 2023

Girl trips, football, Homecoming, basketball, costumes, and candy have all filled October for our family this year! I feel like this month flew by.

Winnersville week in Valdosta included several dress days. I didn't get any pictures all week except on luau day. Ellie was too good to get in the picture, so I got what I could as Worth yanked her in fast. :)

Mack and Emma posed up nicely for me.

We opted for a girls trip to Nashville over going to the Winnersville game. and it was a good choice

It was a short weekend trip, but these girls were soooo happy to see each other

And their mama's were glad to be together as well.

One of our first stops in Nashville was a line dancing bar.

The girls learned a country line dance and had the BEST time doing it.

Ellie and Emma kept going back out for more line dancing. They loved it.

The cowgirl hat topped sodas were their favorite.

Next up was seeing the Luke Bryan honky tonk. The band obliged our "Swifties" with some Taylor Swift songs and the moms tipped accordingly. :)

We didn't have 1 picture in this set in which Emma was making a normal face. None the less, me and my girls. 💗

Found Dawg fans in Nashville!

Once the crowds began to grow a little rowdy, we headed back to our VRBO for together time. Overall, it was a quick, but awesome day in Nashville.

Back at our condo, the girls had their time together.

The music was loud, and the giggles non stop. The rooftop deck was the hit for all of us!

We ended the Nashville trip with a Sunday morning brunch at Biscuit Love. We hated saying good bye to this group!

Mack's team made it into the playoffs but lost their first game. Mack needed some consoling from Dad.

Also on the October calendar was homecoming. Ellie went with a large group of friends, but started with a few pictures on our front porch.

I thought she looked beautiful. She did her own hair and makeup.

Vanessa, Ellie, and Ashlyn at our photo shoot spot.

Ellie and her friend, Kansas. Kansas's mom arranged getting us this farm to have pictures taken.

The pictures turned out so good! The lighting couldn't have been more perfect.

Sweet girls.

Ellie, Vanessa, and Nadia

Ellie and her friend, Sarah. Ellie, Sarah, and Nadia (in the above picture) had been in Nutcracker rehearsals all day. They were able to get home get dressed and get to the pictures in record time. I know they were tired and their feet were probably done, but they carried on.

Candids of the girls ignoring this poor boy. He came has Nadia's date and Nadia was so not interested in him. He was so sweet though and hung in there. By the time I got them to the dance, everyone had loosened up and they were including him in the conversations. 😆

I had to document the driver for the evening with her daughter. :)

I was so proud of Ellie's hair, she did it all by herself.

I wasn't at dinner, but one of the moms that was there sent this. I thought it was so precious.

These are out of order, but these are some of the pictures Kansas' mom took.

Beautiful girls

Our Friday nights have been spent at the LHS home games. We have friends that have an awesome tailgate with a different theme for food to bring each week. Mack just enjoys playing football with his buddies while there.
The Heaton tailgate. There is always more food that anyone can eat.

The tailgate has gotten so big, the band even makes a stop by there on the way to the stadium.

Ellie drove all of us to church one Sunday morning. I was told to sit in the back and stay quiet.

There was no pumpkin patch at our church this year, but there was the measuring stick. Things have changed quite a bit since the Bowers stood in front of this for the first time.
Emma insisted on a pumpkin picture

Emma's school basketball season started with an 8th grade Jamboree. Emma got to play with the 8th grade team.

She made this shot.

  • Ellie was Flo from Progressive for a Halloween party this year.

For some reason, this picure would not expand to a bigger size - this was our trunk for "Trunk or Treat" at our church this year. It was "Masters" themed. Worth was a caddie.

Mack's friend, Blake came to Trunk or Treat with us. These 2 are 2 peas in a pod for sure! Maverick and the Dinosaur

The Monday after Trunk or Treat can be rough.

Mack pulled it together though, and made it out for Halloween on Tuesday. Blake joined us once again. Ellie drove the golf cart. Emma had basketball practice, but got home in time for us to leave her with a friend to walk the neighborhood on their own. Worth was on call, and I'm still thanking Jesus, that dance was made optional Halloween night, and I didn't have to add that in to our nightly equation. Halloween looks different now than it used to!

Ellie celebrated Halloween over the weekend at dance. Nadia, Sarah, and Ellie were the 3 chipmunks. (Please take note of Allison as Napolian Dynamite on the back row. 😆)

Mack and Blake just looked hilarious to me walking around. Those blow up costumes are so funny!

Mack and Blake coming out of a scary house. They did a haunted house set up at one of the stops right before this one and I wish I would have videoed them coming out of it. Ellie and I heard them screaming before they even made there way out of it. She and I had so much fun taking them around.
