Our Blog

This blog spot is primarily a photo/memory album for our family. It also serves as a way for us to share what is going on in our lives with our friends and family that don't see us on a regular basis. Ashley, Worth, Ellie, Emma, and Mack

September 2023

September has come and gone. We had a busy month! We attended some football games UGA and Lowndes, Mack had football games, and we celebrated a big birthday this month!

Ellie turned 15 this month!! She passed her learner's test and is now a teen driver!! I still haven't processed all of this yet, it will take a couple of months. Also, she is driving with Worth only right now. I'm just not there yet with patience, and I also drive a newer vehicle, so it makes sense that she just drives the truck for now. Ellie is blossoming so! She is doing awesome in high school so far and loves everything about it. She has a sweet group of friends that are encouraging and accepting of her busy dance schedule. She works so hard at dance, with her school work, and balancing all of her clubs and activities that she is involved in at school.  She has goals for herself and she seems to be on a mission to accomplish them. We are so proud of the young lady she is becoming.

Here are the pictures from our month:

Ellie wasn't the only one with a birthday in September. Papa celebrated his 75th birthday on September 1st, and we are so thankful for him!

The Bowers put us up for a night when the storm knocked out our power. Emma got some Mia snuggles in while we were there.
Labor Day weekend we headed to Athens to cheer on the Dawgs of the first game of the season

We never get time to walk around and because school was cancelled due to the hurricane, we left early Friday and headed to Athens. We toured the campus, downtown, and visited the bookstore.

We even had a late lunch at De Palma's and it was delicious!

Mack got a turn ringing the bell

Emma also rang the bell, she was able to ring it all by herself.

We made it to the tailgate Saturday morning!

We took the kids to see the players leave the hotel instead of walking all the way to the Dawg Walk. We decided this was WAY better than the Dawg walk.

Mack and Bo are usually always holding hands for the walk back to the car. Emma and Worth jumped in during this walk. :)

we were finally successful making it to a Viking game with friends. We almost didn't make it as it poured rain during the tailgate. The clouds moved on, however, and despite these boys being soaked to the core, they had a great time.

Mack professional football pictures came in and they turned out so good!

A few days before her birthday, we celebrated Elle with some of her friends at the Italian restaurant here, Mom and Dads.

Ellie and her sweet friends gathered for her birthday.

These girls had so much fun. I thought they may kick us out we were in the restaurant so long.

Mack and I sat at a table nearby. Worth was on call, so Mack had to go with me to the party. He had eyes on the girls the whole time.

Our beautiful 15 year old.
Ellie's friends know her well. Her gifts were spot on.

Mack kept me purely entertained at our table.

Ellie had the Tiramisu as her birthday dessert.

I had originally felt bad about having to take Mack to the party, but I think he thoroughly enjoyed himself. :)

Ellie's official birthday and early morning gift opening.

Ellie got some great gifts!

A rare hug between these two.

The biggest excitement of the day, was Ellie passing the test for her learner's permit!

I still can't believe we have a new driver in the house!

She drove home to open a couple of more gifts before heading to her 2nd home - Dance Arts.

I will spare you my singing video again this year, but we greeted her at the door at 9:00pm singing and with cake!

#16 doing his thing!

Costume fitting day! Nutcracker is getting closer!
