New Shoes

Ellie got her first pair of real shoes after getting fitted at the mall. She is currently in a whopping size 3. These pictures were too cute not to post.

Ellie's 12 month check up

I'm making a rare post on the blog, because Worth is busy on call tonight and I'm sure the grandparents are eager to get an update on Ellie's 12 month check up. For the first time in several check ups Ellie was actually able to get all her shots because she DIDN'T have an ear infection! I guess the tubes are doing their job. Anyway, the stats are as follows: Ellie weighed in at a whopping 17lb 14oz. putting her in the 6th percentile. Dr. Dudgeon doesn't seem concerned - he said she's just going to be petite. Her height was 29in. which puts her in the 75th percentile for length. There is also more exciting news! Ellie is FINALLY getting a tooth! I thought they would never come in, but on her 1st birthday, we noticed it coming through and it is now officially in! YEAH!! Although the fussiness has not been pleasant, I'm glad she's finally getting teeth! Stay posted for pictures of Ellie's first UGA game appearance in Athens which will be the Oct. 3rd game against LSU! GO DAWGS!!!!!!

Happy 1st Birthday Ellie!!!

It is hard to believe that it has been a year, but it has flown by. We celebrated Ellie's 1st Birthday with family and friends and then had a great tailgate for the Dawg's win over Arkansas. Ellie had a ball and was wide open for the entire party. She was a little hesitant about the smash cake at first, but once we smashed her hands in it she realized that it was sweet and ended up with so much cake on her that we just put her in the bathtub and did a complete wardrobe change. She got all kinds of fun stuff, including several toys she can push around. She absolutely loves pushing toys around. She also got a chair that her Granddaddy made for her and that is where she "held court" for much of the day. Overall it was a great day with friends and family, good food, and a Bulldog win. Some pics below. Notice she started the day in from of TV and finished it that way too.

San Francisco

Sunday, I(Ashley) got back from San Francisco, CA where I attended a conference for hand surgeons and hand therapists. I learned a lot and got to see some old friends while I was there. We also got to sneak away from the conference a little and tour San Fran. We all had a great time!

Town Crier

Thursday at Ellie's school they wear the color of the month. Well this month is orange(ugh), and since this is a dirty color in our household Ellie really doesn't have any orange clothes. The only thing we had was a shirt that was mine when I was a baby. The "town crier" shirt, so that is what Ellie wore.

Future Occupation?

Ellie loves to dig through bags and she got into by work bag and got my stethascope out.

Chappie's Suprise Birthday

The folks over in Monroe held a suprise birthday party for Chappie complete with entertainment by Uncle Courtney. A good time was had by all.
