Emma has become very mobile these days and can crawl all over the place and get into anything she can reach. She is also doing well cruising around holding on to tables and push toys. She will even stand on her own for short spells. I think that the first real steps are imminent.

8 months old!
Emma turned 8 months old on January 4th. She's getting so big and is such a sweet girl. She is sleeping all night (for the most part), she is crawling all over the place, and she is standing for a few seconds independently. She loves her walking toys, so we think she is going to follow in her sister's footsteps and be an early walker. She will say "da" and "ga" on occasion, but she mostly just likes to scream and laugh at Ellie. Which, with Ellie, makes for a very loud household now. There are no teeth yet, but lots of drool(as you can see on her shirt in the pictures!

Santa came!
Sorry for my red neck voice and grammer on this video, but I was still a little tired as well as trying to work a video camera and watch my daughter's reaction to Santa's visit all at the same time. (Not to mention that after having Emma, I have 2 brain cells left and they fight each other!)
Notice how Ellie goes to the Christmas tree first looking for her gifts, notices that Santa ate the cookies she left, then notices Emma's gifts before she finally sees her bike! She looked at her bike another couple of minutes before she sees the huge kitchen sitting directly behind the bike! It was so funny! She was tired too, we had to wake her up to see what Santa brought. Ofcourse the one morning she would decide to try to sleep late would be Christmas morning! Ha! Emma got up very early and had already inspected (and chewed) on a few of her gifts. Santa was good to our girls this year! Ellie is still trying to understand why Santa can't come back again until next year. I really think she is more upset that her elf "Red" isn't around every morning when she wakes up - even though she watched the Elf on the Shelf Movie around 50 times over the holidays. For those of you who missed that movie this year, definitely try to catch it next year - it was a great story to explain what our little elves do. We DVR'd it and Ellie watched it over and over and over!
We had such an awesome Christmas this year. It was great to be living closer to our family so we got to see everyone and enjoy our holidays - even though Worth was on call for most of it! Call is definitely easier here (he can be home when he's not needed at the hospital). Ellie really got a grasp of Christmas this year, and although Emma was a little clueless on what Christmas was all about I think she enjoyed chewing on bows and wrapping paper!! Worth said "She's bedazzling her poop!"
