A White Christmas (sort of)

Well we had snow flurries throughout Christmas Day, but it wasn't quite cold enough to stick until overnight. Ellie enjoyed making her 1st snowman even if it was on a miniature scale.

Christmas 2010

Santa made a big drop off in Birmingham and loaded Ellie up. She got a tent/tunnel, a playhouse, a doll, guitar, books, and lots of other goodies. She was definitely worn out at the end of the day. It was a great Christmas, complete with snow. What a way to spend our last one in Birmingham.

Santa Visits On Firetruck

Santa Clause made an appearance Christmas Eve with the help of the Hoover Fire Dept. Ellie was excited especially when he threw her candy. She then went to the kitchen, got out a tupperware, and insisted that Ashley put her candy in the tupperware.

1st Haircut

Ashley and Ellie made the short trip to Atlanta to visit with Ashley's cousins and their little girls. Ellie also got her first haircut from Aunt Hannah. She did really well and really enjoyed the time playing with her big cousins Zoey and Mavis.

Santa 2010

Like good Alabamians we joined in with the masses and went to the Bass Pro Shop to see Santa. We were actually very lucky, because some lady gave us her Bass Pass which got us into the "express lane" and cut our wait to about 30 minutes instead of about an hour and a half. The Santa was great and we got a free picture out of the deal. Ellie did great and the picture turned out great. Hopefully she will be a good little girl so he will bring her the baby doll she wants in a couple of weeks.

School Christmas Party

Ellie and her class had their Christmas party today complete with gingerbread house construction and singing.

Getting Old

My two wonderful girls made sure I had a great birthday complete with my favorite, cookie cake.

Putting Up the Tree

Ellie really enjoyed helping put up the Christmas tree this year. We also enjoyed some father daughter dancing to Christmas tunes along the way.

BB2

Ashley had her 2nd OB appointment yesterday and BB2 (Baby Bowers 2) is measuring right on time and was moving all over the place. Ellie was checking out the pictures this morning saying "baby", even though she has no concept of what is going on. Her answer to whether she wants a baby brother or sister is "brothersister". Ashley's next ultrasound will not be until the week before Christmas, so we will not know the sex until then.

Party in the Park

Sunday we went to the park for a Halloween party. Ellie's favorite part was the swing. I had to literally drag her off after about 30 minutes. She kept saying "I fly".

Old Baker Farm

We made a trip out the the Old Baker Farm yesterday. They have all kinds of stuff to do like a corn maze, horse back rides, petting farm, hayrides, and of course a pumpkin patch. Ellie's favorite was the "horsey" and the tractor. It was a beautiful fall morning and a fun family outing.
