We have just gotten back from our annual 4th of July vacation in St. Simons Island, GA. Once again, the island didn't disappoint. Although we did have a couple of shorter days on the beach due to rain, it didn't damper our trip in the least.
We did our traditional dinner at Benny's Red Barn with my (Ashley's) family, then dinner at the Fredrica House with the Bowers crew. Sa and Gramps were even able to come join in on the festivities that night as well. And we had the low country boil at the condos with all the families that stay there for the 4th (and have for the last 20+ years). Needless to say we didn't starve on this trip either:)
We were able to see a lot of the Summers family. It was good to see them because it has been quite a while since we saw them last, and Ellie had been saving a toy for Jake that she held on to since last year at the beach when he left it there. I think the girls and boys had a great time together!
My camera decided to malfunction the morning of July 4th. After 336 pictures that were taken up to that point, I was no longer able to take anymore. Very disappointing! Boo Nikon 3100! Now I have to hurry and find someone to fix my camera before this new baby comes!
Worth's mom and sister will be sending me more pictures from later in the week that I plan to post. Until then check
here and
here for more pictures of our fun beach week.

This was an overcast day that we just went out to get their energy out thinking it would rain any minute. We ended up staying out there 3 hours and getting sunburned! Ellie is trying to teach Emma how to skip in this picture |
