This blog spot is primarily a photo/memory album for our family. It also serves as a way for us to share what is going on in our lives with our friends and family that don't see us on a regular basis. Ashley, Worth, Ellie, Emma, and Mack
School officially started back this past Friday. Ellie began the 6th grade at Hahira Middle, and Emma and Mack stayed at Westside for 4th and 1st. Emma and Mack hit the jackpot with their teachers this year, and I'm beyond thrilled about it. Ellie got some good ones too, but middle school is so different. I don't know much about the teachers, but from what I hear, Ellie is definitely on a track to succeed. We had Ellie's open house Tuesday - no pictures because she wouldn't let me, and Emma and Mack had open house Wednesday. They all began Friday and per their reports, they had a great first day. I was most worried about Ellie being in middle school, but it seems that every other kid was just as nervous as she was. It sounds like the teachers were a lot of help and Ellie was very thrilled to see at least 3 of her teachers are HUGE UGA fans. They are all looking forward to next week. It's amazing how 5 months out of school and being homeschooled by your parents for 2.5 of those months will make a kid very motivated to return to actual school. I'm so glad our schools gave us the option!
Mack and Mason have played together ALOT this summer! They are going to miss each other now that school is back in.
If anyone was wondering, Leonard takes morning prayer very seriously.
A local yogurt shop has been selling "harvest boxes" since the shutdown in April. I FINALLY ordered one. It was so fun to be surprised as to what all was in each box. All local or nearby state veggies and fruits. It was fantastic!
Last Sunday was the beginning of Shark Week. The kids pretty much prepared the food and signs themselves this year with a little of my help. Ellie learned a critical lesson on icing baked goods a little too early with her cupcakes. They love shark week on the Discovery channel.
Since I don't have any pictures of Ellie's open house, I guess I will overload from Mack and Emma's. Mack dressed himself and was super excited about wearing his shark belt.
Because of social distancing and CDC guidelines, teachers at open house met us at the doors to the classrooms and we weren't allowed to walk into any rooms. It took us 17 minutes to walk in, do both kids rooms, and walk back to car. Record time for an open house.
Ellie was there with us, but wasn't in the picture this year. She's moved on to middle school!
Open house went so quickly, we were able to get in a quick masked up Target run and then swing into Daylight Doughnuts for a quick morning doughnut snack before heading back home.
This picture is terrible, but we've been letting Aspen come inside to get acquainted better with Leonard. They are so funny playing. I can hardly get a good picture, because they are always in motion. We are slowly getting Leonard ready for his transition to daytime outside.
This cutie started his first official guitar lesson the night before school started!
Mack has been practicing too:
And then school started.....FINALLY!
The masked bandits, ready to take it on!
We weren't allowed to walk the kids in at Westside this year, so I snapped this picture just before Mack and Emma jumped out of the car.
