Our Blog

This blog spot is primarily a photo/memory album for our family. It also serves as a way for us to share what is going on in our lives with our friends and family that don't see us on a regular basis. Ashley, Worth, Ellie, Emma, and Mack

February 2025

February is a short and cold month, but we had so much fun this year!

On my birthday, Worth and the kids took me out to dinner. They refused to take a picture with me at the restaurant so I made them pose up at home.

I made Worth pose with me also

And Mack did a little dance for us as we stood in the kitchen eating cake:

He can twerk, but he cleans up well for church. He tied his own tie this particular morning, and was thrilled that we were in Firehouse Subs after church for lunch.

Mack got a heart award at school. We were so proud of him!

Golf Season began for Emma

And her team won the first tournament! Emma got lowest score!

To add to golf season, Emma added on a boyfriend this year. I took her to go bowling with him and she took him a Valentine's gift.

Emma and Andrew. I sent Ellie and Nadia as chaperones with these 2 for the bowling date.

Mack's basketball season was going strong by mid February.

He is always a blur in these pictures because he moves so fast!

January 2025

We made it to a new year and we started it off with our favorite people on the slopes in Utah! As soon as we got home, we hit the ground running with the 2nd half of the school year and all of its activities. January came in with a bang and left us with a bang - another major weather event - SNOW! We had a major downfall of snow, so much so the kids were out of school for 2 days again for weather!

All of the big kids babysat the little kids while the adults went out to dinner on New Year's Day. They send us this picture to let us know things were going ok.

These pictures are a little scrambled, but this is Ellie headed downhill

Ellie and Dad

Ellie and Mom

With so many different people to ski with, we were rarely all at the top of one hill together. Thankfully, I got someone to snap a quick picture of us in this moment.

The Simrils went snowboarding one morning. They had to have 3 drivers 16 or older, so they took Ellie with them to drive Maggie

Ellie had a blast.

More out of order pictures, but this is us before dinner New Year's Day

We missed having the Stuermann's there, but we had a blast and dinner was SO good.

This is Quincy's cabin. It's on a cut through off of a run and the kids love going to it. They all went together and got a picture

Kid selfie (with a few adults photo bombing in the back)

This was a really hard picture to finally get - mainly because non of the kids were ever all together at the same time, but we did it!

Emma, Ella Kate, and Reece

We got back home and a few days later Mack turned around and left for a school field trip to Jekyll Island. Thanks to a sweet mama on the trip for sending me pictures.

Ellie was off to another formal. Valdosta has a "Sweet 16" club in which girls are chosen to be in and then throw a dance in which they can invite a date and a friend. Ellie was not chosen to be in the sweet 16 club but she was invited by a close friend that is in the club. (All of the private school girls are in it and her friend attends the private school) I thought she looked beautiful in the freezing weather.

One of Ellie's friend's mom went to dinner with them and took some great pictures for us. She was so sweet to do that.

All of these sweet girls were guests at the party.

These pictures were all taken at Fancy Girl Farms in Hahira, GA

Our beautiful eldest child

Mack had a friend, Colson, who traveled with his family to Hungary for 6 weeks to adopt a little boy. They returned mid January and we all were waiting at the airport at 10:00pm that night to welcome them back home.

This is The Anderson family as they got off the plane and entered the airport. They were overwhelmed at the sight of all of us. The mom, Lael, is carrying Banks, the 3 year old that they adopted. We all terrified him initially.

This had us all in tears. All of the boys immediately ran to Colson and wrapped him up in a huge hug. They have all missed him so much and Mack especially was glad to see his buddy back home.

They immediately were sharing stories

Mack and Colson

Ellie began ballet intensive auditions in January, we travelled to one in Atlanta and had a stay at The Tift's house for 1 night. Ford was a fan of Ellie. Hardy was passed out on the couch beside her.

Then...the snow came to South GA

We got covered in snow for the first time in I don't know how many years. This is a rare occurrence down here.

Our backyard doesn't even look the same covered in snow.

Aspen wasn't a fan

Emma was lovig snow ball making

Ellie and her friend Nadia - although 10th graders were loving playing in the snow. They even performed "Snow" from the Nutcracker while in the snow.

One of Mack's assistant principals taught the 5th grade boys at his school to tie a tie. Mack (of course) became obsessed and is practicing with Emma here.

This is the day he did it at school and he wore this around the house the entire afternoon.
