Aunt Kate Visits and Dawgs take care of Tigers

Some new pics from the weekend as Aunt Kate visits and the Dawgs play down on the bayou. Ellie had a fussy couple of days during the week, but has been better the last couple of days. We went across the street to the neighbors for burgers with several other couples and a couple of other babies and she was on her best behavior and acted like she had some home training. We had a few people over for the game and she spent the first half asleep on a blanket on the floor and the second half in Aunt Kate's arms.

Sleep is for the weak

I am working nights this week and Ellie thinks she is working nights too, keeping Ashley up all night fussing. She is definitely living up to the outfit.

Lauren Visits and Ellie goes on 1st shopping trip

I was in my friend Todd's wedding in Savannah this past weekend and Ashley's friend Lauren came to visit. They took Ellie on her first shopping trip (my wallet is already shaking at the thought of many more to come) and she did good for about an hour or so. Some pictures of the day.

Walkin in the Hood

We made our second attempt at a walk in the hood. Ellie has yet to make a full lap without a meltdown, but in her defense she did have a major blowout. Anyway, we will continue to go out while we have these nice fall evenings.

Big Girl Bath

Ellie's umbilical cord remnant fell off several days ago so we thought we would try her first sink bath. She liked it at first, but then started pitching a fit. All was well again when we put her in her hoodie towel.

Ellie Rolls Over!!!!

It has been a big week for Ellie. She went to the Dr. and is now up to a hefty 6 lbs and 8 oz which averages out to about 1/2 oz of weight gain per day since her last visit. She has also grown several inches to 20 and 1/2 in. Dr. Dudgeon was satisfied with her progress and was very impressed with her alertness and strength. To show off her strength Ellie decided she would roll over today. The first time was this morning while Ashley was showering and so I put her on the floor later this afternoon to see if she could repeat the feat. She got a little upset, but showed off her athleticism (obviously her father's child, haha) again and popped right over. She is tiny, but advanced.

Ellie is pumped that despite some poor play and letting Fat Phil and the Volunteers hang around way too long, that the Dawgs got the win.

More pictures of Ellie. She is more alert the last couple of days and we started letting her have some tummy time which is hilarious. Its like watching a little bug that can't get turned over. She moves her little legs and arms, but can't make any progress. Her grandma Serita went home Saturday, and her grandma Pendy got here today for a few days. Will continue to post pictures.

Ellie Rest After Dr. Visit

Ellie went to see her pediatrician this morning and has gained back the 10 oz. that she had lost from birth through Sunday. She is still a little jaundiced, but within acceptable limits as long as she keeps poopin' and peein' up a storm like she is. Ashley is holding up well despite the fact that Ellie likes to sleep all day and party all night. Ashley is a great mom and Ellie is a lucky little girl to have her. Also, much thanks to Mrs. Serita being here to help out with things. Her help has definitely made things smoother. Will continue to post pics as sweet pea grows.
