Millie and Becky came over Saturday and the girls were able to do some shopping, go out to eat, and catch up.

Jake Summers stopped by today and hung out for a while. He pretty much just ignored Ellie, but she tried to follow him around and even up the stairs. The only thing worse than a baby and stairs is 2 babies and stairs. Baby gate time has arrived.

Ellie Pictures

As promised here are some new Ellie pictures. She is a mess these days. She has learned how to wave hello and goodbye and it is hilarious. Her walking is getting better everyday and she is standing up on her own easily. She is also starting to get into everything. We have some serious baby proofing to do. For those of you who haven't heard we will be at Children's South Hospital monday morning with Ellie getting ear tubes. Her ear infections just will not heal up. The procedure will only take 5 min, but say a little prayer for Peanut and for Ashley monday morning.

Ellie Stands Up

Ellie did it, she stood up for the 1st time long enough to get her picture taken. It is amazing how fast she is changing and learning new things. She will be walking before we know it.

Beach Vacation

We all took a much needed break last week and traveled to St. Simon's. It was the first time Ashley and I had been over there in over 2 yrs and it was Ellie's 1st beach trip. We made stops at my parent's house on the way(see Mom's blog for pics) and on the way back we stopped at Ashley's parents. Ellie had a ball on the beach and ate enough sand to fill up a sand box. She started bear crawling on the beach and loved kicking her feet in the pool. She got to meet Cousin George and Dena and even made biscuits with Grandmama Serita. We were all worn out and need a vacation from our vacation, but we had a great time and look forward to future trips to SSI.

We broke out the baby pool that Ashley's parents brought this weekend. She loved it and just splashed away.

Bailey's 1st Birthday

Ellie's friend across the street celebrated her 1st Birthday and Ashley's parents took Ellie to the party, because we were in the ATL. From the looks of the pictures everyone had a good time.

Ashley's parents were nice enough to come to B'ham this weekend to babysit Ellie while Ashley and I went to Atlanta for a wedding. Here are some pictures from their visit.

Ellie's Baptism

Ellie had her Baptism on Saturday and we we blessed to have so many family and friends travel to be here with us. Ellie truly is a very loved little girl. The festivities began with a tailgate low country boil Friday night. Thanks so much to my Dad for the great setup and to Mr. Chappie for the cooking help. Saturday we had the ceremony and then a large lunch. Thanks to Mom, Mrs. Serita, and Sa for help with the spread. It meant so much to Ashley and I to have so many of our family and friends take the time and effort to travel to Birmingham for the weekend. Thanks to everyone and we love you all.
