Our Blog

This blog spot is primarily a photo/memory album for our family. It also serves as a way for us to share what is going on in our lives with our friends and family that don't see us on a regular basis. Ashley, Worth, Ellie, Emma, and Mack

Ellie, Emma, and the Caboose

Ellie had her annual dance recital last weekend (May 18th). She did so good and we were very proud of our tiny dancer. She has learned so much in the last year and will move up to the tap and the next level ballet classes next year.

This is Ms. Allison (Ellie's ballet teacher) and Ellie (this is a cell phone pic, not sure why it got smushed?!)
Ellie and her friend Ashlynn at rehearsal

Ellie is in a new phase of seriously posing for pictures. Don't know how or why this has started but she won't take a normal picture anymore!

Ellie and her friend Hannah

Some sort of weird pose - believe it or not this is the best picture I could get of her by herself!

Hannah, Ellie, and Allie - they all had issues smiling with lipstick on

Group shot - Emma wasn't interested and Ellie is giving one of her poses again

This past Saturday Emma had her 1st haircut. I'll admit we didn't do much to it, but even up the back. (which solved the mullet issue) I wasn't ready to cut all her hair off like we did Ellie's for the summer. She loved getting her haircut which was a big surprise to me since she throws a fit if I so much as come near her with a brush.
Best before shot I could get. It was lunchtime and having to wait was not something this 2 and 4 year old wanted to do.

Emma in the chair!

Little peanut head

Getting encouragement from Sissy

I thought she might fall asleep

I swear this kid screams bloody murder if I even attempt to brush or put a bow in her hair. She was loving the haircut though!

After pictures of both haircuts

There is also an update on the Caboose. I had an appointment with the fetal medicine specialist this past Friday morning and from what they can tell the bowel issue has completely resolved itself. The specialist said that I don't have to see her again unless another problem arises, but as far as she could tell the baby was in great health and growing at an above average rate. I won't have to have another ultrasound until 32 weeks (I'm 28 weeks now) and it will just be a routine check. I'm so thankful for this blessing, there's nothing that will stress you out more than worry for your child.

Another picture with my cell phone so it is a little smushed as well. But,  from this profile, he/she looks a little like Ellie to me?

UAB Ft. Morgan Beach Reunion

This past week we made what has become an annual vacation to Ft Morgan, AL near Gulf Shores to reunite with 5 other families that we met during residency. When we all met as interns 6 yrs ago there were no kids and one couple wasn't even married yet. A lot has changed including 13 kids and the fact that we live in 6 different states, but we remain good friends and look forward to the yearly reunion.

Everyone begins to arrive from Shreveport, St. Louis, Bristol, Greenville, and Birmingham, and Valdosta.
