Our Blog

This blog spot is primarily a photo/memory album for our family. It also serves as a way for us to share what is going on in our lives with our friends and family that don't see us on a regular basis. Ashley, Worth, Ellie, Emma, and Mack

Emma is 2!

Hard to believe that it has been 2 years since I gave birth to sweet baby Emma. She is such a joy and light in our lives and I can't imagine life without her. She loves Minnie Mouse, Elmo and especially everything Ellie. She is a mama's baby most of the time but has slowly come out of her shell and can show quite the personality. She's very clever, quick, and tough. I can't wait to see where life takes her!

We had her birthday party this morning. We just had a few friends over for one hour of chicken mini's from Chick fil A, the bouncy house and cake of course! It was slightly raining so we had to move the bouncy house into the garage, but the rain never phased the kids. Emma and Ellie seemed worn out, but as of yet (2pm) neither has napped. Get ready, photo overload below.

Just woke up and about to open her gifts from Mommy, Daddy and Sissy

The card from Sissy

Ellie was really proud of herself for picking this card out and signing it all by herself

Sissy's gift was a Klean Kanteen water bottle. Ellie has one and Emma tries to steal it all the time. Not anymore!

A hug for her sister. This is a rare moment that I'm glad I caught on film

Peter Pan movie! (Another one to throw into the car rotation for our road trips - we have one coming up next weekend!)

Of all gifts, Emma was most excited about this birthday card from Mommy and Daddy....

ELMO! or "Melmo!" as Emma calls him- one of her newest obessions

A fun water/sand table! Sissy was excited about this one as well

The Minnie Mouse Boutique cake (from Publix - LOVE their cakes)

Emma decided to join Ellie

Emma and Jack

Sometimes a girl just likes to ride her tricycle!

Emma's friend David. His dad asked me to take this picture of David with his furrowed brow - this kid cracks me up!

The party goers. The slight rain didn't stop them from getting outside.

Time to eat!

Emma made a happy plate BEFORE her cake

Getting "Happy Birthday" sung to her.  I'm going to give Worth the credit for this very bright, easy to see picture:)

Blowing out the candles (if you can tell)

Emma made a happy plate eating her cake as well.

Grandma giving Emma a swing around the garage

Emma and her friend Rory.

Saying goodbyes to everyone

Clever, quick, and tough - you nailed it! Love her.
Ellie was so sweet at the party, so proud of her little sister's birthday; she insisted on sitting beside her while they ate. It was precious.
