Our Blog

This blog spot is primarily a photo/memory album for our family. It also serves as a way for us to share what is going on in our lives with our friends and family that don't see us on a regular basis. Ashley, Worth, Ellie, Emma, and Mack

#maycray

My cousin had an instagram picture collage posted the other day with the title "#maycray." I thought it was hilarious and exactly as I felt at that moment! May is always crazy with the end of the school year happening, but if you throw in a child's birthday, church activities, kindergarten graduation, preschool end of year parties, and a dance recital then it officially becomes "maycray."

Here are some pictures of what's been going on in the Bowers world for the month of May so far.
So this happened a couple of weeks ago. Worth found this slide and put it up . The kids were ecstatic.

Ellie had her annual end of the school year party 1 week early since the last day of school was dress rehearsal for dance recital. Her friends came over for swimming and a slumber party. Ellie loves these two girls so much. Unfortunately, they both will be moving away this summer. Hopefully my child will recover and make some new best friends.

A little pool side whip and nae nae.

Emma had her friend, Madison, come over to swim for the end of the school year party.  Madison wasn't feeling well, though, and had to leave to go home early.

Ellie, Abby, Sammy and their 3 way BFF necklace. Hopefully, they can continue a friendship through letters, FaceTime, and (eventually) email or social media.

We went to Tifton on Mother's Day and Worth and I cooked dinner for my mom. She does so much for us, it was the least we could do for her.

Mack was very proud to be going to his 2 and 1/2 year old preschool class  for the last time.

Y'all, this was the table set up for Mack's class party. I can't even try to compete with this. (not that I would even attempt to)  I'd like to say that the mother that did this is a stay at home mom that pours over her kids, but no, she works full time at a bank, has 2 kids, and still can pull out an amazing table for her 3 year old's preschool class end of the year party.

They sang some songs for us. The little girl in the pink dress standing to the right of Mack stole the show. She had dance moves for all of the songs. (Her own choreography)

Mack had a great year and is ready for 3 year old preschool in August. his teachers from left: Ms. Grace and Ms. Kerri.

Their end of the year unit was "all about me" Mack was showing me the book they made.

Tuesday, May 16th, Emma graduated from Kindergarten. This is her walking in with her teacher, Mrs. Williams.

I feel like I just took a picture of Ellie doing this same thing. I will blink, and it will be Mack's turn.

Proud girl with her trophy.

Worth couldn't come because of work, but the grandparents were all there to represent.  It takes a village!

Mack wouldn't get in the picture with us, he just wanted to photo bomb.

Last day of Kindergarten and 2nd for these crazy girls.

We didn't get much of a break that last day of school, we headed right into dance recital this weekend. This is Emma in her tap routine.

The recital theme this year was Stars and Stripes. This dance was to Miley Cirus' "Party in the U.S.A.''
Emma had this dance down!

Hot Stuff.

The next dance was to an instrumental version of Amazing Grace. The girls were a little shaky with this dance. They learned it a few weeks after tap and didn't have as much time to practice it, but they all smiled and looked cute on stage. That's all that really matters at this age.

That was a rap for round 1 of recital. Morning edition.

Recital Round 2 - night edition!

A mom was going around offering to take pictures of all the moms with their daughters. We are all usually so busy dealing with hair, makeup, costumes, and taking pictures of the girls, that we rarely catch a minute to get a picture with our babies. So glad that mom did that.

Ellie and Abby

My best friends, Jennifer and Allison. Allison owns the dance studio and this was her first recital since becoming artistic director. I am so proud of her. She was one of my few friends that actually followed their dreams. This was Jennifer's first experience as a dance mom with her 4 year old in her first recital this year.

Ellie strutting out for her tap routine. This song was "Living in America"

This entire 2nd grade class is SO serious. It is a class full of perfectionists. They are so scared they are going to mess up their routine! We have to constantly remind them to smile. They did an awesome job though!

Jazz!! This was to the song "Cotton Eyed Joe"

Ellie had to lip sync the beginning.

Jazz is her absolute favorite.

Ellie had a duo with her friend Allie doing the coffee grinder. She had practiced this so much, and the girls hit it right on time together. They did so good!

Ballet was to "Hero" by Mariah Carey.

And we closed out the evening at 10:30pm last night. This tiny dancer was pooped.
