We are hunkering down in Valdosta today and preparing for hurricane Irma to approach. At the current time she is headed to south Florida and we are expected to start getting winds and rain from this massive storm tonight. At it's peak we are expected to get 100 mph wind gusts. Worth is, of course, on call and has to remain at the hospital for obvious reasons. I have secured all loose outside objects to the best of my ability, and I have everything ready for us to sleep in the living room tonight to stay away from any trees that may fall on the edges of our home. Worth and I filled water pitchers, yeti cups, and zip loc bags with water and ice. I have food to hopefully hold us a few days while power is out. (assuming that their will be a massive loss of power in the area.) I pray that the storm weakens significantly and that the damage is minimal. Come on Irma, let's get this over with!
