An Intern No More Celebration

We went out with my parents to eat and celebrate the last day of my intern year. So glad to have 1 yr of residency finished, only 3 more to go. Also great to have some time off as I don't have to start at UAB until July 1.

Ellie's Nursery Gets Painted

Mom and Dad traveled to B'ham this weekend and we put Mom to work painting the nursery. It looks great and I posted some pictures above of the crib and newly painted walls. Things are coming together.

Well, we finally got a new camera so I thought I would post an update of Ellie and show how much she is poking out. Ashley at 25 weeks is doing well.

Jake Visits

Thirsty Thursday at the Barons game

GIRL; everyone meet Elizabeth Tift Bowers. We are very excited and everything looked good on the ultrasound. Ashley is doing great and the baby looks great. At least now we can stop calling the poor child Burpo. We don't know what we are going to call her yet so please vote in the poll or post a comment if you have a new suggestion.

Tomorrow is the day

Well tommorrow is the the big day, so hopefully Burpo will cooperate and we will be able to determine if the baby is a boy or girl. According to the current poll, the lean is towards a boy, so we will see. I will be sure to post an update tomorrow, hopefully with an updated ultrasound picture.

Ashley's Trip to Savannah and Statesboro

Ashley traveled to Savannah and Statesboro this weekend for Amos' graduation, of course I am working. Her old job had a baby showers for Burpo, and then she went to Statesboro to get Amos graduated.

Week 19 Mug Shot of Burpo

Since most of you haven't seen Ashley in a while I thought I would take a "mug shot" of Burpo starting to bust out. (Burpo is what we have been calling the baby, since we don't know the sex yet. Mom had been referring to the baby as Babo, short for Baby Bowers, but Dad kept messing it up and calling it Burpo instead. Ashley and I thought it was funny so it stuck.) It has been exciting the last couple of days as Burpo is kicking hard enough that I can feel it. Ashley is set to see the Dr. again on the 19th for an ultrasound, that hopefully will reveal the sex of Burpo. We will be sure to post as soon as we know anything.
