Ellie Enjoys Play Yard and Baby Bjorn

Sorry it has been awhile since I have posted anything. I was on call last weekend and so there has been a shortage of time to both take new pics and post. Ellie is growing daily. She is starting to get into more of a routine at night sleeping for 5-6 hours after she gets put down. Unfortunately, once she wakes up around 1-2 am she gets back on the every 2-3 hr routine. Hopefully, as she continues to get bigger she will start sleeping longer and longer. Anyway, these are some pictures from Ellie's new favorite things. She likes her play yard and she is now big enough to put in the baby bjorn. The baby bjorn is like benedryl and Ellie knocks out after being in it for a few minutes. Ashley even cleaned the kitchen, vacuumed, and did laundry with Ellie in tow.

I Thought I Saw A Pussycat... I Did, I Did

Ellie went for her 6wk checkup today. She was 8lbs 1/2oz and 22in long. She is only in the 10th percentile for her weight, but the doctor said he was happy with her weight and that she is just going to be petite. She has been gaining at a good rate. He was very impressed with how alert she was and how sweet she was being. She did get her first shots, but other than a scream right after they gave it to her she did well. As a matter of fact she was so good that Ashley and her went straight from the doctors office to vote. Evidence of both in the posted pictures. Boiling Peanuts

As Ashley and Mrs. Serita did a little shopping saturday, Mr. Chappie, Ellie, and Me boiled some peanuts and grilled some chicken wings. OK, Ellie was more of a supervisor than anything and eventually she needed a break from all the hard work so we put her in her boppy lounger and set it on the glider in the back yard. The weather was beautiful and anytime she started to stir we just rocked the glider and she was out again. Nothing like a good nap on a warm fall day.

New Bath Tub

Ellie moves out of the sink to the baby bath tub that the Tifts brought her. She likes her tub time.

Halloween Pictures

Ellie had a low key 1st Halloween as the Tifts came to visit for the weekend. They kept Ellie and manned the candy bucket as Ashley and I had our 1st date as new parents. It was a good night for all and Ellie slept most of the night as well which made things even better.

Woe Out

For those of you not familiar with being Woe Out, that is when you are more tired than simply being worn out. Ellie has slept very little in the last day and she finally gave up the good fight and passed out. Freddie who is always up for some lazy sleeping decided to join her for an afternoon nap.

6wk Weigh In

Ellie stopped by the pediatrician's office this morning for a weigh in. She was 7lb 12oz, which is up from her last weight of 6lb 8oz three weeks ago. She goes for a full visit next week and we will post an update of what the doctor says after that visit.

Bowers Girls Get A Nap

Ashley and Ellie get an afternoon nap and I couldn't resist getting a picture. Ellie is doing better at night, but sleep is still a rare commidity for Ashley and every little bit helps.
