Our Blog

This blog spot is primarily a photo/memory album for our family. It also serves as a way for us to share what is going on in our lives with our friends and family that don't see us on a regular basis. Ashley, Worth, Ellie, Emma, and Mack

Christmas 2012

We've had a very busy past couple of weeks! I love the fun during the holidays! There are always church, family and friend activities to keep us in the spirit of the Christmas season. We missed a few events because of sickness at our house at the beginning of the month. This first group of pictures is from Ellie's Christmas pageant at school. Ellie's class were the sheep. They sang and then went to "sleep" on stage for the rest of the pageant.

The next event we attended was a dinner with Santa at the Valdosta Country Club. It actually turned out to be pretty comical. Worth and I signed up for it, and went dressed in dressy casual Christmas attire and had Ellie and Emma in their Christmas dresses. Little did we know it was a seafood buffet, open bar, cocktail party. There were women there in sequins and heels and men in suits (with their kids?!) Worth and I were terribly under-dressed and very embarrassed. Who knew that a night out with the kids and Santa would be such a social event for Valdosta! We ended up staying though because the girls were having a blast dancing to the band that was there and getting candy canes from Santa. Emma wasn't too impressed with this Santa either, but did give him a smile when he handed her candy.

Sister wrestling - yes, on the dance floor!

Next up, Mia and E.W.'s house for Christmas Eve. Kate and Jay were there with baby Bo, so there was a lot of baby holding and snuggling and new cousin love! Ellie became a pro gift passer outer and gift opener. Emma just kind of hung out - doing her thing:)

Emma found all the food in the stockings - pretty much the only gift she cared for

Baby Bo and Sa (Worth's grandmother)
We came back to Valdosta after a wild day in Tifton with the Bowers crew and left out milk and cookies for Santa and reindeer food in the front yard for the reindeer. Santa came! Ellie was so excited!

Emma liked the tootsie pop that Santa left her more than any toy she got

Christmas Day, after we saw what Santa brought, wished Jesus a Happy Birthday and had a great breakfast, we headed back to Tifton to have Christmas with my parents.

The girls got matching dresses from Grandma

Emma loved the sit and spin that Grandma and Papa gave her

Grandma opening gifts and Papa with his post op hand - good thing he has a sweet daughter that is a hand therapist and could make him his splint:)

G and P gave Ellie a Tee ball set. Daddy was giving her some instruction
