Our Blog

This blog spot is primarily a photo/memory album for our family. It also serves as a way for us to share what is going on in our lives with our friends and family that don't see us on a regular basis. Ashley, Worth, Ellie, Emma, and Mack

Hallo-week and another Dawg win!

This year I have seriously contemplated when Halloween became a week long affair. I just remember dressing up and getting some candy on October 31st and then it was over. Now, my kids have typically already worn out on their costume by the time we actually reach October 31st. This year, we actually had to turn down trunk or treats and parties because there were just so many!

We started off Monday with Mack's school Halloween party. They are cute dressed up at school and they had some sweet songs to sing. Mack actually performed instead of standing there and grinning which is his usual MO.

Tuesday night, we celebrated actual Halloween. We trick or treated in our neighborhood and had a great time. We got invited to go along on a hay ride with some friends and the kids had a blast. (The adults did too!) We ended up with enough candy to supply a small country.

This weekend we were finally done with Halloween festivities, so we decided to head to Athens for the UGA vs. South Carolina game. We went up Friday night and made our first stop at Amos and Anna's house to meet baby Hardy. He was just as precious as all the pictures I have been seeing. The girls and I are in love, Mack, not so much. Mack had little interest in the  baby and more interested in their black lab, Dooley.

Saturday morning we headed for the tailgate and spent the morning hanging out with friends and enjoying the warm November weather. All the kids went to this game, and although I'd like to say they had a great time, it wouldn't be the truth. Mack was a handful. No nap and a full day at a tailgate will wear a kid out, and it showed by about half time of the game. I just hope the people around us weren't too annoyed. Ellie, on the other hand sat with Mia a few rows down from Worth, Emma, Mack and I. She stood and cheer the ENTIRE game, and she even made it on the jumbotron 3 times. She was so excited. It was so funny to see her up there cheering on the Bulldogs! Georgia pulled out a win which keeps them undefeated for the season this year so far.

Mack singing about 5 little pumpkins

Snack time! These moms outdo themselves on the Pinterest snacks. (Clearly, I didn't help with this party.) Mack ate nothing but some of the chex mis.

Ellie as "Mal" a character in Descendants

We have to leave 2 baskets of candy out for our neighborhood while we are out trick or treating.  We have an insane amount of trick or treating that goes on here.

They were really excited despite the look on Ellie's face. She was trying to be in character.

Emma was Evie, also from Descendants.

Our crew for the hayride.

The onslaught

They were an overwhelming crew.

I think each kid ran at least 2 miles despite riding a little on the hayride.

One of the moms came to soccer practice with her nice camera to take some pictures of the kids. This was Emma posing it up for her. Emma has really fallen in love with soccer.

This is Gentry, Mack's play buddy at Emma's soccer practice.
This was Worth's jack-o-lantern lit up. He was so proud. It did turn out pretty cool.

Heeeeeere's Hardy!

Emma couldn't get enough.

This was our initial attempt to get all 4 of them in a picture.

I thought Mack had minimal interest in Hardy, until I saw this picture.

Emma and Ellie couldn't get over his "little feet"

Hardy and Aunt Ash

He took a nap in Ellie's lap. He is really a good baby.

After some bribery and threats, Mack pulled it together for a picture.

This was obviously at the beginning of the game, b/c Mack is happy.

My best friend Kathryn and her husband Darren came to this game and hung out with us at our tailgate. It was so good to see her and spend time with her. We became friends in the fall of 1996 when we both pledged ZTA at UGA.

Once again, before Mack lost interest in the game.

Our view of Elle several rows above us cheering. Look closely, she is in the middle of the picture with a Georgia bow in her hair.

Jay got a quick video of her cheering and dancing. Worth and I were never fast enough with our phones to get a picture of her on the jumbotron!
