Our Blog

This blog spot is primarily a photo/memory album for our family. It also serves as a way for us to share what is going on in our lives with our friends and family that don't see us on a regular basis. Ashley, Worth, Ellie, Emma, and Mack

Kindergarten and Coach Pitch ready!

The past 2 weeks have been exciting ones for Mack. Last week, he got to bring the class stuffed frog home for the week and I got to journal about his time at our house. It was kind of sad, because that frog (or other versions of it) has visited our house at least 7 times over the last 6 years. Also last week, I registered Mack for KINDERGARTEN! I'd like to say that it's hard to believe he's old enough for kindergarten, but he is 5 and 1/2 and I have no doubts that he is ready now despite us holding him back in 2 year old preschool.

This week, Mack played his first coach pitch baseball game. They lost 14-7 but it was so fun to watch. Mack's team is the youngest in the league and they really don't know what they are doing yet. Mack was not bothered by the loss. The league he is playing in is new, and they don't have the kinks quite worked out. Our game last Thursday lasted way longer than the attention span of about 30 5-6 year olds could handle.

Flip Flop the frog got to spend the week with us 2 weeks ago. Mack went through his journal looking at all the other kids' entries and pictures everyday.

Mack is a big boy now! Officially registered for big school! Westside Elementary, watch out, there is a tornado headed your way!

The leprechaun visited our house on St. Patrick's Day and left a little green surprise in the toilet. Mack was most excited about this and wanted to make sure I got a picture of Flip Flop looking at the leprechaun pee to go in the journal.
All dressed up for baseball, but he wouldn't stop talking long enough for me to get his picture.

If you can see the kid on the right holding his crotch, that would be my child.

Mack played his friend Cooper. They are big buddies.

Mack made a list of all of our names. He also added me on the list to the right calling that one the "good list." I'm the only one on it. This year in preschool has made a huge difference in his writing. He could barely write the M for Mack last year, now he's writing all of our names with punctuation!

Worth was on call this weekend, so the kids and I went to Tifton for lunch after church this morning. We got a surprise to find out that the Athens Tifts were stopping through as well from their weekend track meet in Tallahassee. We got to squish on sweet Hardy for a couple of hours, and it was fabulous. Ellie and Emma gave him enough kisses to last him a while.
